Easily connect two single mode or multi-mode fiber optic cables with the Platinum Tools 5-Piece Universal Fiber Mechanical Splice Kit (UNIV-SPLICE-005). No need for polishing, epoxy, or adhesive. Suitable for on-site use, this pack of five mechanical splices can join 250 and 900µm fiber cables, even if they have been inadvertently cut or damaged. It can also extend the length of different types of cables without requiring inline connectors, couplers, or enclosures. To ensure proper preparation of the fiber cable, the kit includes build-up tubes, cleaning supplies, and a cleaving jig. Please note that installation requires a standard fiber optic cleaver and three-hole stripper.
