Overview

Description

The Triplett RWV10G Real World LAN and Cable Verifier introduces advanced digital technology for comprehensive cable and network testing. Supporting UTP, STP, and coax cables, it verifies TIA568 wiring, detects faults such as opens and shorts, and measures cable length with nanosecond precision. It uniquely tests live networks via hubs, switches, and PCs, assessing both advertised and negotiated link speeds up to 10 Gbps. Additional features include wire mapping, crosstalk and timing analysis, tone tracing, and PoE voltage detection. Complete with remote probe, cables, and batteries, it stores up to 250 test results for detailed diagnostics and reporting.

Specifications

Features
Live network testing: Interfaces with active network devices like hubs, switches, and PCs to perform "real-world" testing using live data.
Link analysis: Analyzes and displays advertised vs. negotiated speeds between devices.
Fault detection: Identifies wiring faults such as opens, shorts, split pairs, and split distance.
Performance metrics: Measures advanced cable parameters, including skew and propagation delay.
Wire mapping: Provides a TIA568 wire map.
Tone mode: Emits a tone for tracing and troubleshooting cables.
Port blink test: Visually identifies port activity and connectivity.
Included accessories: Comes with a remote probe, two RJ45 to RJ45 cables, an RJ45 to F cable, a USB cable, and a carrying case.
