Amprobe IR-708 Infrared Thermometer - 4689984

Point-and-shoot for easy and accurate temperature measurement
The Amprobe IR-700 series of infrared thermometers is a complete line of high performance diagnostic tools designed for residential use, HVAC/R, electrical, industrial maintenance, automotive, quality control, fire prevention, home thermal leak detection, and hobbyist applications.

The bright backlit LCD dual display continuously shows both current temperature and either the maximum or minimum temperature detected, which is very useful when looking for hot or cold spots in home insulation, circuit panels or automotive engines. Measure temperatures quickly and accurately without having to touch the object.

Laser Pointer for Accurate Targeting
The Amprobe IR-708 Infrared Thermometer is designed to measure temperatures quickly and accurately without having to touch the object. Lightweight, compact, and easy to use, the IR-708 can safely measure hot, hazardous, or hard-to-reach surfaces from a distance. The thermometer’s optics measure emitted, reflected and transmitted energy, which is collected and focused onto a detector two times per second for precise accuracy. The laser pointer indicates where the unit is measuring.

Endless Applications
Typical uses include automotive diagnostics, HVAC service, electrical troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, fire prevention, home thermal leak detection, cooking and food preparation, outdoor grilling, and hobbyist applications. You can also take your temperature easily within seconds.

Precise Measurement with Distance to Spot Ratio of 8:1
The larger the Distance to Spot Ratio (D:S) the better the resolution and the smaller the area that can be measured. To measure small objects, hold the unit closer. For example, to measure a 1” spot with the IR-708, hold the unit at 8” from the item to be measured.

  • Temperature Measurement Range: 0 °F to 716 °F (-18 °C to 380 °C) ±2%
